Our team

Everyone knows that teamwork makes the dream work.
We couldn’t do what we do without the contribution of the following people.

Margareth Eikner

Rider & Trainer
Margareth Eikner is a passionate and ambitious rider representing Estonia on the international show jumping stage. Her equestrian journey began in 2011, and she quickly established herself as a strong competitor. In 2015, Margareth secured her first Estonian Championship silver medal in the Children’s category, followed by an impressive series of medals—gold, silver, and bronze—in Junior and U25 classes in the years that followed.
With a relentless drive to improve, Margareth made a pivotal decision in 2018 to relocate to Belgium, training under the expert guidance of Jos and Alexander Kumps. This move provided invaluable opportunities to refine her skills, compete at a higher level, and work with talented horses. Her dedication and teamwork have led to remarkable achievements, including the following:
  • Junior European Championships Finalist
  • Clear rounds and top placings in her first 2*, 3*, and 4* Grand Prix competitions
  • 7th place in the Nordic-Baltic Championships in Seniors Category
  • Numerous wins and podium finishes across international competitions
Margareth believes in developing horses with a strong foundation of flatwork, ensuring they gain the confidence needed to reach their full potential in competition. She follows a systematic approach in training, emphasizing patience, precision, and trust. Her goal is to produce successful sport horses and shape them to shine with their next riders.
In addition to her competitive career, Margareth is also passionate about sharing her knowledge and helping other riders develop their skills. By combining her experience, modern training principles, and dedication to the sport, she aims to create a lasting impact in the equestrian world.

Alexander Kumps

Rider & trainer
Alexander Kumps is a highly skilled Belgian professional rider who has spent his life around horses, developing a deep understanding of the sport from an early age. With an extensive background in competition and training, Alexander has established himself as a respected rider on the international show jumping circuit.
His competitive career began under the guidance of his father, Jos Kumps. This led him to early success, including:
  • Young Rider Nations Cup victories
  • Three CH/J/Y European Championship appearances, twice qualifying for the final round
  • A remarkable 4th place individual finish at the 2012 European Championships
Beyond his championship performances, Alexander has demonstrated remarkable talent in six-bar classes, winning four times and achieving an impressive record of 2.11m! His ability to perform at the highest level is further highlighted by the following:
  • A CSI5 & CSI2 victory in Mechelen
  • Multiple wins and placings in 2*, 3*, and 4* Grand Prix competitions
In addition to his competitive success, Alexander has played a significant role in the development of top sport horses. One notable example is Sanctos van het Gravenhof, later known as Hello Sanctos, who went on to become a legendary showjumper with Scott Brash. This tradition of producing and selling high-performance horses for owners continues to be a major part of his business today.
Driven by a thirst for knowledge and a desire to refine his craft, Alexander has trained with some of the world’s most accomplished riders, including Nelson Pessoa, Michel Robert and Philippe Le Jeune.
Each of these elite horsemen has contributed to shaping Alexander into the well-rounded rider and trainer he is today. His expertise extends beyond competition. He is deeply committed to coaching and mentoring riders at all levels and sharing the wealth of knowledge he has accumulated throughout his career.

With an extensive career spanning decades, he has guided numerous athletes to championship success, helping them secure medals at the highest levels of competition. His work ranges from mentoring ambitious amateurs to coaching riders who regularly top the Longines Rankings.
Jos has played a crucial role in shaping the careers of Margareth Eikner and Alexander Kumps, helping them achieve their competitive goals. But his influence extends far beyond—his keen eye for detail, deep understanding of equine training, and ability to maximize both horse and rider potential have made him a sought-after coach at the pinnacle of the sport.
His impressive list of world-class riders includes Daniel Deusser, Harrie Smolders, Rodrigo Pessoa, Pilar Cordon, Gudrun Patteet and Ioli Mytilineou among many others.

Despite his reputation and impressive client list, Jos remains committed to helping riders at all levels. His philosophy is simple: if a rider is willing to learn, he is always eager to share his knowledge.
We are incredibly fortunate to have Jos’s expertise and mentorship as he continues to oversee the development of both horses and riders at the highest level. His passion for the sport, dedication to education, and ability to shape future champions make him one of the most respected horsemen in the world today.
